Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995. At present the Institute has eleven departments, seven inter-disciplinary academic centres and five schools covering all the major engineering , science, healthcare, management and humanities disciplines, offering B.Tech., B.Des., M.A., M.Des., M.Tech., M.Sc., MBA and Ph.D. programmes. The flagship programmes offered at IIT Guwahati include BTech and MTech. Apart from this, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati offers various other courses at UG, PG and doctoral levels. The course curriculum is good as in the first year did teach us c programming which is helpful to the coding as well as the topics that teams are very helpful because they make a brain sharp but yeah they must teach more about DSE which comes in the internship exams in instead of teaching other things

Placement status is good students get placement the range of the salary of placement may very according to your efforts which you put or according to company but most of the students in the 4th year get placement until and unless they they said do not want to sit in

I paid around 3 lakh rupees for 1 year because I was a general candidate and OBC candidate can get scholarship and SCR St candidate can get full tuition fee we were a general candidate me also get fever if it’s they comes in economically backward sections and full fill the criteria
Various fest, clubs and infrastructure of the campus
My overall experience was damn good in the college all the clubs are very good the college infrastructure is also very good because the college has very planned infrastructure and mapping each road connects you to a destination there is nothing random or abrupt in the college as well as the clubs are very active because generally IIT Guwahati stand 6th or 7th in the narf but in the cultural interactive or intake enter IIT this year 2024 IIT Guwahati stand third inter IIT take and in cultural meet also it wins gold silver bronze in different modules so the clubs are very active and they work very hard for the college and they are bringing college many medals and trophies as well as the seniors create a very nice social environment and the club and it is like a family
What are the facilities provided in the college hostel?
Have been I have been provided a room in which we to lift together in a single room we have different different separate to almirahs to shell two table two bed the room is sufficiently big if if a one if two stays there is no problem as well as the food quality is also very good a very good menu is provided we have given a variety of breakfast food and lunch and dinner the breakfast is very good we have been provided milk and also sprouts paneer bread with everyday to breakfast like to different breakfast which are healthy food consists of daily dal two types of rice 2 types of vegetable salad and at papa the food quality is very very good as compared to other IIT and locality is also very good it feel so safe and homely and as we go around the boys hostel there are very nice area and campus
Faculty and learning experience in the campus
Curriculum is good and it depends on the professor weather they want relative grading or absolute grading in first semester the grading maybe relative absolute depending up on the professor some subjects are relatively tough so they have relative reading moderately tough or easy subject generally have absolute grading in the examinations as well as the exams conducted and the event conducted do not collap so that the student can manage both things
What student says about campus environment?
I wanted a decent branch and a top 7 IIT that is why I opted IIT Guwahati as well as it has the most beautiful campus and very nice environment I did not wanted the polluted city like daily or city with a lot of cham which can distract student life Bombay of course it do not describe but still I was not getting very good branch in Bombay so IIT Guwahati chemical engineering was a perfect combination of a decent branch and a very good college
Night Life
Are there are many gym in the college like every hostel contain gym and there are one Central gym a specific female gym as well a very big central library which have four floors which have many books that are around 1 or 2 lakh books in the library and around library there is there on many facilities for snacks and eating for example cafe coffee day the library is here condition cafeteria are also air conditioned hostels are clean my food is very good comparative to other its the timings are straight we have to enter the campus before 10:30 in the night but you can room in the campus all night one Centre action man is completed the locality in around the colleges village locality but for 30 to 40 minutes distance we can reach to the city the locality is safe and the campus is also very safe and secured
